Thai time tale

My name is Juthinant, but I tell everyone to call me J. My family and I moved from Florida to Tennessee in 2010. My parents, with decades of experience in the food service and hospitality industry, decided to open Jai Dee Thai & Japanese Cuisine in 2012. After ten fantastic years, it was time for my parents to retire and for me to continue their legacy. Thus, Thai Time was born on October 2022.

We were located near the entrance to the campus of the University of Tennessee adjacent to Cumberland Avenue from 2012 to 2022.

Our menu included a wide variety of Thai dishes, Japanese entrees, and sushi. We’ve made many friends and stories together with everyone who came through those heavy doors so we are glad to be able to continue being a part of the Knoxville community.

At Thai Time, we strive to serve the same quality Thai food we’ve been cooking for the last decade. The menu have been minimized given the limitations of our kitchen, but we always aim to provide the most satisfying experience.

in loving memory

Grandma Nee was an essential part of our family and our restaurant before she passed in early 2023 just a few months after Thai Time opened for business. Her recipes are carried on within our menu and she will always be forever remembered in the hearts of everyone she met at Jai Dee and Thai Time.
